What are the Scope and Coverage:
Filipino students who are motivated to pursue a career in medicine and who meet the following requirements can apply for the CHED Medical Scholarship Program:
- Those living in municipalities without government physicians,
- In GIDA (Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas), or in the top 20% of provinces and municipalities recognized as calamity-prone or conflict-prone by the PSA.
- Residing in low-income communities with a high poverty rate.
- Dependents of community health volunteers and
- Those whose combined annual family income is less than PHP450,000.00.
CHED Medical Scholarship Requirements
- must be a filipino citizen
- Graduating student or a graduate of an appropriate undergraduate program identified as a prerequisite for a Doctor of Medicine degree and currently enrolled in Doctor of Medicine degree, from any HEIs duly recognized by the CHED, including a direct entrant to the integrated liberal arts and medicine (INTARMED) program;
- obtained a National Medical Admission Test score
- that was necessary by the SUC/PHEI and the CHED, and
- Applicants must pass the Entrance Examination and meet additional prerequisites to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree at one of the following SUCs/PHEIs.

what are the documents Requirements for Ched medical scholarship
- Proof of Filipino Citizenship such as:
- any Government-issued document showing Proof of Filipino Citizenship
- a Certified true copy of Birth Certificate issued by the local Civil Registry or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Philsys ID.
- Certificate of Good Moral Character,
- Additional requirements for Priority Groups.
- Certification of Residency issued by the barangay,
- Certification as members of indigenous people or minority group
- National commission on Indigenous peoples (NCIP) Certificate,
- Tax Exemption/Tax declaration (from BIR) or social case study duly signed by a registered social worker where the applicant resides;
- Certification issued by the DOH-Bureau of Local Health Systems and Development that the applicant is a dependent of community health volunteer; and
- Certification from the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office or Department of Social Welfare and Development that the applicant is from the calamity-prone and conflict areas.
CHED Medical scholarship benefits
- Tuition and other School Fees (TOSF)
- SUC :
- TOSF subsidy shall be provided to the scholars to be paid directly to the SUC by the concerned CHEDRO; and
- PHEI :
- TOSF subsidy shall be provided to the scholars to be paid directly to the PHEI but not exceeding 100,000/semester.
- The concerned PHEI shall provide the counterpart fund for the balance in excess of 100,000/semester.
- SUC :
